Do you try to mill to dimensions that can be integrated with commercial lumber?
Or full dimensions?
Town dimensions.

I actually dislike full dimension lumber..... to me, it's just awkward..... and it doesn't play well with readily available fasteners and so on.

Now, anything that's going to be planed, I cut oversize for the obvious reasons.

Morning all, 61° to 73° and storming. Nothing major, little rain and thunder/lighting mix. Bottle baby is skittish and you have to put her in the corral alleyway to get her to take a bottle, but when she is eating she forgets you are there. Few more days and hopefully she will calm down more.

I got a question about the ticks in the mid west, do the ticks go away when summer really heats up?
up here in NW Montana we have pretty aggressive ticks from about April 1st through July 1st. it seems that when we get a couple 90+ degree days back to back the ticks dissapear.
I was curious if it's like that elsewhere.

Never heard tell of such a thing, that is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing that.

That saw would be much more useful than the jacks that they mount under the hoods…

We had .040" late last night. Big drops that came down hard with only lightning as a warning.

The only time I’ve noticed tick and chigger decline was the summer we had 11 days of 105 degree temps in a row..
But we also had serious dry conditions at the same time.

Morning all 57° to 80° for the day. Didn't mean that Joplin lost power last night, just that the clouds rolling in darkened the whole area. Heavy rain at times at the homestead a little after 10 last night.
