Good morning folks. Getting some sprinkles of liquid moistures with 41f or there abouts till early afternoon , then falling temps and maybe a bit of frozen stuffs. We may be to far south to get the brunt of the heavier accumulations.

Forgot this one, found a honey locust in the fence row to be cut as well. Don't know about milling but it will make dandy firewood.
Curious how others deal with these spiny bishes? We have more than our share in the wooded parts of the farm, and can drop those without too much fanfare, but are hesitant to drop the mature ones in the pasture since the thorns will pop tires and never seem to rot on the ground.
Maybe strategically place diesel and tires around the base and turn it into a huge roman candle, or are there better ways?

Try girdling the trees and letting the thorns die on the tree. That’s what I’ve done; the thorns deteriorate and get very weak, to the point that they will crumble instead of going into a tire.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

Taking my lunch at home and look who shows up. We have such a brilliant dispatcher.
