Windy 59° right now, looks like temps are going to drop tonight. Slowing down the tractor will be a big help in controlling the plowing. Don't forget that you can unlink the brakes and steer with them to help maintain a straight line as well.

Raining & windy here. Winds are guessed to gust out of the NW at 50mph today & tonight.

I should get good mileage going to Thunderdome but coming home will be a treat.

I don’t envy my daughter riding on that airborne cattle car from Atlanta.

@JimBear (or anybody else who knows how to drag a plow).
Is Sam doing anything right in this video?

Looks like there is no furrow wheel or as the Euro's call it an end wheel. It is on the back and butts up against the furrow wall to keep the plow going straight. Those discs and that hard ground are only wanting to go one way and it ain't gonna be straight ahead.

Sky was nasty looking this morning feeding time. Cleared up for a bit in the late morning and then about 4 the wind hit hard. Turned everything hazy because of the amount of dust in the air and was shaking the truck on the way back in. Figured there are probably going to be some trucks on 49 that might get turned over, have to wait and see if it happens. We are currently sitting at 38° but dropping fast.

Cold 28° at 3AM. Coffee time in front of the stove for a bit longer then starting the work day. Put some beef short ribs and a small brisket in the shop fridge to start thawing for Christmas. Also doing the Alton Brown thaw/brine turkey method he put on the tube about a month ago as well. Smoker will be busy next week.

A balmy 10* out there this morning, wind gust are allegedly supposed to only gust to around 30mph today & tonight. Temp around 40 today.

Tomorrow’s wind gust are only supposed to be around 20mph with mid 40’s temp.

I can definitely tell the old shack has settled since last year. Several new drafts felt last night.

Good morning y’all. My old F250 oil pressure gauge is reading no pressure. Hopefully that’s not accurate. It’s my firewood hauler and I don’t have enough to get mom through the winter. Gotta find a place to cut wood this year too. I’d hate to have to pay for firewood

Hopefully it's not like the 390 in the'75, it had been one that used less than 1/2 half qt. during a 3k oil change intervals. And then within 2 tanks of fuel it started drinking 3qts. a fillup, and would show very low oil pressure after a short while.

Crank didn't need work, and there was enuf room to do the remainder of thr rebuild in the truck.

Grandson was up till about 11:00 last night, up every hour until about 6:00 then slept till 8:00.

Hopefully he will nap till about noon. He is accustomed to EST so his clock is a bit different than mine.
