Another day of adventures done. Learning is always an important thing. Today I learned that you can drive for a fair distance with a flat on a dual and I can save money by using trailer tags on my truck. Now I never have to renew them since they are permanent.

That's good as long all of your local law enforcement knows that.

22* to 45* and cloudy sure would like to see the sun today.

Got the oldest grandson hauled home last night, 5-1:2 hour round trip.

We will hunt for a couple hours this morning then drive then make the 3-1/2 hour round trip to another grandsons birthday party.

We should be able to hunt this afternoon & evening when we get back.

Maybe tomorrow as well if he doesn’t fill his tag today.

We will see what kind of marksman the 9yo is.

Lol.
Now, running a flat on a dually is something I might do in a pinch...... but, something tells me I'd better stick with regular plates on the vehicles.....

Good morning!
Made some test cuts with a Homelite 1050 I recently acquired. I got the Italian Stallion (Olympic 962) out to make a couple cuts. It surprised me by running out of fuel in the cut. I revved it up and saw fuel spraying out of the primer bulb. At least it's an easy fix. It still takes standing on the the saw and a two hand pull on the snowmobile starter handle to pull it over.
I'm a little late on the draw but that demo saw looks to be a well worn XL-98 with a 2" XL-9** series water pump tag in one pic.
Any homelite likers here?
This awful contraption was on a pallet lot I bought for another item.
Cranks over fine, and feels like it's got good compression.
No other testing is likely to happen. View attachment 476177View attachment 476178View attachment 476179

Foggy 35° on the water this morning. Boat back on the trailer by 8:30 pointed toward home. Released the 16 1/2" sewer trout. Should have woke up Matt at 4:25 this morning to go along.

Most don't even look at the tags. You can't believe how many expired plates I see every day. Dad and I were talking about just printing new temp tags every month.

Lol.

Put over 40 known miles on it yesterday helping and going back in. Surprised me it didn't come apart.
@Workshop is getting it for Christmas.
When did he get a boat?

High off 23* here with temps dropping all day to single digits over night. North winds today up to 24mph.

Allegedly a bit of a warm Monday & Tuesday then back to teens & single digits.

May try hunting again later this morning & evening but the grandson clearly needs some rest.
