Yup within 16-20 miles could give a call to say howdy over a cup of coffee
Rumor has it we'll be back up there around 4:30- 5pm today to pick up a Bridgeport milling machine and a bunch of tooling.
Gonna be working like crazy to load it without a forklift......but, if you've got an urge to meet a few lunatics, feel free to swing by. 🙂

Manual or CNC ?

I have moved those prigs before in the shop & they are heavy.

Fork lift or tractor/loader make life much easier. Maybe they will some such equipment to help load.

Manual with a DRO
Yeah they're stinking heavy! Around 2200lbs, it's going to be an interesting loading operation.....on top of everything else, it's tucked away in a small back room of the shop with very poor access.
But.....I got boys, random ringing, a tilt trailer, and determination.

Everything in the pic, plus a rotary table.

Nice VS!

I’m sure you have moved enough of them too know about lowering the table and turning the head over?

Those are a great old machine!

Truly a timeless classic…
I don't know nothin..... I've moved a few of em, but certainly not an expert.
But, will do.
Actually, I think we'll have to remove the table to get it out the door, and we'll probably pull the head off altogether to reduce weight and top heavy-ness.

I see a pallet jack in your future if you keep this up, or something along those lines. Might need to find one of those drop deck trailers that lower the deck to the ground. Might be a project for Tom to figure out something.

I wimped out bidding on a pallet jack Friday.....
Those trailers are really slick!
If it wasn't 3.5hrs away I'd haul the tractor up there to load it.
