Anybody ever use old discs for targets. Was doing a little thinking on it and wondering how they would hold up. Got a couple out here that can be repurposed for that if they will work.
Nope.

I've got 1/2" ar500 plates from 2" up to 12", I can bring em if needed.

Also, if anyone uses 7.62x39 I might know where some fuel for that is......

I ordered an AR500 plate since I didn't already have one but you are welcome to bring yours as well. I have access to a homemade welded swing set frame so we are good to go on that. Just ordered 50 pack of 12-18 splatter targets as well.

I might have about 12lbs or so of fun stuff left if it is still any good. Haven't had that out for years. Might have to break that out as well. I don't know if Walgreens instant cold packs still work or not, may have to do an experiment to see.

Easily understood, farm work needs to be done. I skipped checking cows yesterday so I could take my parents to the lake and several times have mixed feelings on things like that. But I will always take the time to do stuff with them since they are almost 80 now. I was thinking this would be a nice way to get so see each other with no real purpose except to enjoy the day and each others company. I personally always prefer to have a face to face rather than a phone call. Last couple of times we were cutting and splitting pecan east of Carthage which has been almost a year now. Prior times before that I couldn't make it to because of scheduling but those were not pleasant visits. I still think from time to time about Alan's and Matt's brother-in-laws deaths and how the older people around here talk about the only time they see one another is at funerals.
There is very little community any more it's sad.

Pulled some more shelves from my grandparents place today and got some other stuff from the garage as well. Should be able to get more sorting done and not be tripping over stuff in the shop floor.

Good morning.

Going to an auction this morning......fish fry at the local church this afternoon.... the kids got volunteered to help, so I'll have to quit early.
I cleaned up two bags of blue cat and put them away in the freezer just a bit ago. Need to remind the wife pick up a box of clays and target loads every week for the next three or so.

Morning folks.

Supposed to be around 85* & windy again today.

Guessers are saying rain tonight thru Monday night BUT I see the have backed the amounts down since last night.

By this evening they will only be clucking about maybe .10” instead of 1”.

At the minimum maybe it will clean the air up a bit.

Morning all, 61°/83°. Getting ready to hook up hay trailer again and head to the folks to fix lunch. Salt water brined pork tenderloin overnight in the shop fridge for the main. I'll fix some biscuits to go along with it and some other sides, maybe little rice and some mashed potatoes. Been wanting some oatmeal raisin cookies so those will be produced as well. Clear skies, not a single cloud. Someone needs to do a rain dance around here again.
