They look tasty.👍

There were some others in the holding pens when dad and I dropped them off. These dwarfed them by quite a margin. But I am holding on the them a bit longer than most people do in order to get some extra size.

My garage captured another bird. 🫩. They fly in but can’t find their way back out the double wide door they came in. 😵‍💫. This time it’s a hummer. Dude spent the afternoon bouncing against the ceiling. I’d capture him with my landing net like I’ve done others but the mesh is too large. 💩

Where we get the expression ‘bird brain’ I suppose.

Had a hummer like that in our concrete-walled garage, chased him/her outside 3 times, kept coming back in, so I left garage door open all night. Next morning I found it dead with its beak stuck in a pinhole in the concrete. Hummercide?

Morning walk to the barn for the open station. I tell people I'm going to give them a bucket of range cubes and a head start to see how far they get before the girls mob them.
And they went to the guy I like most as a processor..
Trying to decide how I feel about the weights on these. Had hanging of 850, 786.5 and 761. I was hoping for more in one sense but considering mainly grass fed and not confined to pack on the pounds that is probably not bad. Thinking of not selling hanging again until I retire so I can control things better. Had someone back out on a half two days ago after her husband got sick, I can understand that. So someone else wanted it and I called J&J this afternoon and had everything changed over just for them to say it was too much beef for them. May just have it cut like mine and charge stupid prices for individual cuts.

Did the steaks at 1.5" just like last time. Wife wanted some tallow so I requested that as well. Going to do some rendering, lotion for her and frying for me. One loin was cut in half for future endeavors while the other was cut into steaks. Suggestions on the larger pieces of loin?

Trim and cut them yourself for grilling enjoyment.

Those are nice!
I accidentally drove by that event on Thursday but I was on a schedule so I didn't stop.
