Good morning friends. Don't get too hot today...
Had a hedge tree go down in the south tree line..
Guess that’s what I’ll be doing..
round bales are done and picked up. I was after those at 6 AM this morning.
Maybe should have cut the tree up first.

I could have woke Matt up about 3:50 this morning or so, probably made him more grumpy than me. Think working in the heat has messed up my sleep schedule. I haven't left the house for a lake trip before 3:30 for a lake trip in several years. Left for home about 11:30 and saw this bit of stupidity coming down the highway. What kind of stupid do you have to be to ride jet skis down the highway on the trailer, especially with a kid on one of them.

Good afternoon.

Oppressive tormenting weather......that's all the nice stuff have to say about it.

What kinda bug is this?
'bout ladybug dimensions, and very crunchy when crushed.

That is probably a Japanese beetle.
Japanese beetles have a green color to them, and are very active during the day. They can destroy a lot of garden vegetables, and really like grape vines as well.
The other kind we see a lot of are June bugs. They are brown, and are mostly out at night. They will really flock to the lights.

Doesn't show up very well in the pics, but he was almost yellow in color.
Was inside the trailer, so it's possible he was from foreign regions somewhere.
Whatever it was, it's career ended abruptly right after the photo op.

Japanese Beatle they make traps for them then feed to chickens.
Size is too small for japanese beetle. Looks more like golden tortoise beetle. I see them when I am picking blackberries in early July quite often.

I think you are right, it fits the description about perfect.
It was definitely "shiny metallic gold".
