Rain since Friday forgot to dump guage a little over 4 inches since yesterday View attachment 461179
Southern Missouri may be underwater by the end of the week.

The sawmilling fellas best get crackin on cutting up Arc lumber…

The guessers were claiming 3”-4” for us but the system has stayed well south & east.

Looks like you got a pretty heavy dose as well.

Northwest Iowa got a good shot this morning 2” or so they claim.

I had .20” as of about 1:00pm but it’s been raining since. A nice east 1” or so is very welcome.

👎 Don't need no more water here for a few weeks.

Let me know when that pie is done.

I have noticed the mulberry trees & goose berry bushes are loaded this year.

We are getting some rain today, hopefully it will help the raspberries & blackberries get going.
Father's day pie like every year. Mulberries have been falling like mad for the last week or so.
What are those?
Gooseberries.
Those are gooseberries, damn bitter & sour when green.

If you can get them when purple they are sweeter & tasty but the birds often times clean them up quickly when they start to change color.

They are great in pies but require some sugar, ok a lot of sugar.
Growing up I used to eat hand fulls of green ones. Still have to control myself to make sure I'm not eating and only picking.

Got 1/4" sitting in gauge right now. Too lazy to dump it. Missed some of the heavier rains lately, just enough to keep us out of the hay field so far.

Morning everybody. Sure hope to go home today. My BIL called yesterday and said my Sister has been put into Hospice. She’s had Alzheimer’s for a while. Also found out this morning that a friend of mine that lived down by Highlandville passed away last Saturday.
If I can just get home maybe this madness will stop.

The best answer they will give me is I’ve tested positive for tick borne disease.
That's a start at least. They’re reluctant to treat it around here, you have to know where to go to get treated. They don’t want to give out the antibiotic to treat it at our local clinic at least not the levels my wife needed per her Dr.

In my opinion ya can’t hate a Soft Maple enough. Dirty, huge thing. Cleaned this pile off the roof and out of the gutters. In the Fall it’s tons of leaves.
But it’s so big I don’t want to spend what it takes to get rid of it. IMG_3580.jpegIMG_3621.jpeg

Compartmentalized rot where the four stems come together will help you get rid of it one day. Quick growing and summer shade but too much of a risk to have next to a house.

It’ll end up on the house…

They all do..

Get rid of two of the two trunks and get an estimate on removing the third. Thank me later.
