I know it is not a popular idea among log cutters, but wearing panty hose under your pants will keep the ticks from biting you. Using them may help cut down on the amount of Deet or amount of reapplications you might need too.
I believe there is a place out on the east coast that you can send clothing to be treated with something similar, it’s good for a seasons worth of wearing & washing. Someone on FHC was talking about it.
That really sucks, it’s the chits when a fella can’t be outside in nice weather without getting mailed by ticks.
Don’t know. Kind of dark with a white dot in the middle of the back. My Grandmother called them “Yearling ticks.”

Yes, I pulled a tick and broke out in a rash, like you stated. I thought I had an infection. Went to the doctor; he took one look and said that is Lyme disease. He put me on medication (antibiotics) for 2 weeks. Treated it early; I never had any symptoms that I know of.
