Well, it mills better than post oak.. just not as good quality as white.

Took a little while to chase them today. Brother and nephew were with me so we had to keep them separated three ways. Schools cruising open water. Using two jigs to get them deeper faster. Nephew and I had a double, double. Several doubles with only one person as well.

Todays project..
Had a big hog hurt his back leg when the whole group was being loaded for the meat processor.
So Ely just whacked him and brought it over here .
Left a fan running in the doorway to the shop last night.
Chilled down to 29 this morning.
We got lucky there.

A husky looking pig.

Perfect temperature for it.

It was a red hog, not sure the breed, but yes, it was a thick built hog. Like a show pig.
Bout 225-235 lb live.

Ran a couple home sharpened blades yesterday with quite acceptable results.
I didn't bother re-stteing em this time, but they still cut cedar just fine.
Got some walnut, oak, & hickory, to cut next week, will see what happens with that stuff.

We recently had to slaughter a sow that got in with a boar that was way too heavy for her......broken hips & back in several places....
made me feel like a really bad farmer.
