I made one for a buddy out of a piece of 1/2 in plywood
Cut a 3in piece off of a broken broom handle and screwed it one end then cut 2 more and put a bolt in and wing nut then cut a couple slots with the router so they would slide to tighten to hold chains
Sorry no pics

I used a 1x3 with a peg and a bungee cord. Keeps them half-ass untangled.

Well, it took two years to find an air filter housing, parts scrounged from 3 carburetors, clean the points, repair the starter pawls, getting that rotten recoil spring back in the housing, and fuel lines, but it runs finally. Thinking if any of you guys want to borrow it for a portable porting grinder, just let me know! It’s too loud for indoor use though. [emoji2958]

1-10 takes off and runs on prime now. I'm still going to pull of the carb and check it out.
It's got the Bullfrog type carb. I actually like the Bullfrog carb. I've found the throttle is really snappy when they are set up correctly.
The "Pile" came in handy for a few parts that needed replaced or missing. Also found a new 16 inch bar in a drawer.
:)

If you need one, I've got some NOS diaphragms for the bullfrog carbs. I could spare one.

I've got a lengthy legal question I need input on.
As everybody knows, I have a second piece of property I call "The Stamp". Now, the stamp sits, more or less, in the middle of someone else's 40 acres. The Stamp has an address and is actually within a unincorporated community. We've owned it going on 2 years next month.
Here's the dilemma. There is about a 50 foot section of my west property line that, at this time, doesn't have a fence. There used to be one there, the fence posts are still there, but no fence. Over the last 6 months the other property owner, whom I've met, has been doing brush hogging. About a week ago he put some cattle on it and a couple of horses. My trail cameras have been going nuts taking pictures. They've been on my property. With the above being said, it doesn't look like any damage has been done and I've bought more T-posts and barbed wire to take down and put up to keep them out for safety reasons. I'm still cleaning up wine and beer bottles that are on the ground. I contacted his sister and told her about it and she said she would contact him.
Here's my question. In this state, that I understand, both property owners are responsible for a property line fence. I don't mind buying the wire and posts. The cost was less than $100. It appears he has been fixing fence to keep his cattle in, just not this one.
Should I be concerned about this guy?
Or be the good neighbor and put up a new fence.
In all reality I'm not angry over this, just puzzled.

In Iowa unless it is recorded differently in the “Fence Books” at the County Recorders office, as you stand on your property; the right hand half is yours/your responsibility.

Is it possible the fella just hasn’t gotten to this stretch of fence ?

I would try to contact him directly, better to make contact, ask a few questions & try to get things worked out amicably. Fence disputes can get all kinds of crazy.

No reason for you to get railroaded into taking care of someone else’s fence. 50’ isn’t much but what happens if the other landowner sees this as an opportunity to expect you to maintain their other fence obligations.

@Hedgerow will probably have good input since he runs cattle in your state.
