Opening day of shotgun season was yesterday, after 3 years of hunting my son-in-laws sister got her first deer yesterday. I told him that she would be an assassin after getting the jitters & nerves out of the way, he wasn’t so sure… She shot 4 this morning, hopefully her & her dad will bag 4 more this afternoon. They are both using 350 Legends.

Rifles .350” up to .500” are legal for “shotgun season” as are muzzleloaders & handguns.

The large rodent eradication project had a hiccup the afternoon, son-in-laws father fell in the creek. He said he is ok, knocked the wind out of him, knocked his rifle around, shoved a couple inches of mud up the barrel & most likely knocked his scope out of whack.

That’s not good. At least it wasn’t worse. I had a friend a couple years ago climbing his lock on ladder and the straps broke. He fell about 16’ on his back with his rifle slung on his back. Messed him up pretty good but he lived. Broke the rifle stock in half.

On a better note, mother got another 4 generation pic of dad, myself, my son & his son.

First pic was today, second pic was around July.

Some pizza and a barley pop or two and you couldn’t keep me awake with a cattle prod.

Please put buckets or rain caps on your exhaust. Less than 50 hrs on a full rebuild and this is the result. Over $1000 In parts but I should be able to save it I hope. Only 1 out of 6 would have been able to be salvaged. Gonna do an In frame on it again. The new d5 I picked up yesterday.

How much weight are you registered for? I bumped my registration to 19 tons. Doubled my registration fee. Log truck got busted for over weight last month. Not cheap.
My farm tags are good for up to 30k. But can be 10% over as long as we ain’t on an interstate.
Has to resemble farm use.

Kyle is ridin’ Dirty...

I’m surprised it’s only $1000..

Every tractor Levi drags home from a fence row has had similar issues..
One even broke the sleeves from freezing water in the cylinders.

eBay is cheap. And was maxiforce brand. And all state ag is a good source of parts as well. And their local to me. Did you have trouble getting the sleeve out when it swelled?

You could. This it why I prefer the exhaust flaps. They work and you don’t have to remember to cover them up. This gentleman I got it from just got it built had 50 hrs on it and his wife fell ill with cancer. He never left the house for 5 yrs while taking care of her. This was the result.

Whole block was a lost cause.
We robbed parts and tires, then scrapped the rest.
