Think lots and lots of bolts.

That is correct. Lots and lots of bolts. We removed one and put it back up on our lot many years ago. Biggest thing is all bolts have rubber under the heads so they don’t leak. Can’t tighten too tight or they will still leak. They hold up well. We put ours on a 4’ stem wall for more clearance on the sides. Turned out nice.

I wonder if there is some measurable, outward force when that design is under something like an Ice load?
Or are they self contained with the deep corrigation of the steel it's self?

No. I do that myself. All quotes except for one I have been able to get were for just the kits so I was trying to compare apples to apples. Only quote I had for just the building erected, no concrete, was more than I should have total in this one.

Will you pour a slab for it?
Or have just outer footings and gravel floor?
I’d like to see one put up first hand to see what all is involved. I’ve never put up a quansit style.

^^^^this. If you do it, let us know. If I am able, I want to see how it is done, and maybe participate in the process.

They r deep stamped corrugated metal. They self support themselves. But the way they r made any snow load would go to the base.

I will be doing the forming for the foundations and that pour myself. I am planning on a 6" slab for the inside and will do all the layout and hire the pour done to make sure it is done level. They are going to send me the printouts for the layout in the next week or so. The darker gray is a 4' straight section and I will put an additional foot above grade with the foundation. Should be able to put something 6' tall against the wall without kicking it out into the floor. I'll take some pictures of instructions when I get them. Bolt arches together and lift into place. Bolts have a recessed head to cover washer to protect from sun and the nuts are square with raised corners to bite into the metal and not spin.

I added onto the house a few years back to doing forms is not a big deal for me. On the quonset you don't wet set anchor bolts you drill and screw the initial L bracket to the foundation and attach the arches to it.

Mechanics of materials; statics:

Evenly distributed load (snow, ice, wind or pile of dirt) is transmitted around the structure as a compression stress.

Dynamics:

Impact stress (tree falls in it) will result in a localized bending stress.

There will be a dent.
