That first one is about what I had in mind. I’d like to see more pics of it. How wide does it open up? How big a bore and stroke are the cylinders. How long are the arms?

I like that puller but the grapple seems light weight, almost Kioti weight.

How much does the puller go for?

The grapple isn’t flimsy or light weight at least compared to most I have used. If it was bendable or able to be sprung it would be by now. I am kinda like @Hinerman if something can be broke or needs stress tested I’m your man.

Our skid steer grapple is all 1/2” and 3/4”. And we’ve bent it with a skid steer before.

I thought the same thing. It looks beefier than most I have seen. I would want a heavier one though, LOL

Now we are talking. IIRC, @Deets066 has a grapple (he built) that is like no other I have ever seen. Probably need a 100+ hp machine to operate it, LOL. Maybe he can post some pics.

I was getting Thomas' juices flowing.
I'm leaning toward the Takeuchi so far.
Still need to check out the Kubota, CAT,and NH machines.

The back plate is 4”x6”x 3/8” wall tube, and the tines are 1-1/4” plate.

How are you liking that 297? Just had to put a head gasket on my 299c. 3000 hrs. Seems good so far now. I like that grapple. Heavy enough to use as a root rake.

I’ve got a friend that bought one of those I think his is a bradco or something like that. 60” made just like that. It can cut down an 18” oak and grind the stump up. Pretty bad item. I’d rather have a drum mulcher I think.

Drums are nice..
They are slower/make finer chips/ and cost twice as much.
I like them... just not willing to pay $30,000.00 for one. They also take a lot more HP and a lot heavier machine to run.

Might as well have an excavator at that point.
