So from what I understand the stock was going up with the use of this trading app called Robinhood. Well they stopped action on their app blocking normal people from taking part in the action but hedgefunds were still allowed to trade.

Pretty much a bunch of fat cat *f-wordery and people are pissed!

That is my understanding as well and the average ppl buying so fast on robin hood put the squeeze on the hedge funds making them loose big time. That’s when they blocked on Robin Hood. Def not right at all.

I am not sure I understand, this stuff is like speaking another language to me.

Aren't there more than 1 app to trade stocks with? If Robinhood provides poor (maybe illegal) service, why not use another app to trade? I look at it like a restaurant, if I don't like your food or service, I will go eat at your neighbor's next time. Am I missing something?

Many of those guys on WSB used robin hood because it purveyed it’s self as “the common man’s portal to Wall Street” but when they finally had some big hedge fund companies’ balls in a vice, Robin Hood pulled the rug out from under the wsb bunch, allowing time for the hedge fund guys to try and re position themselves and scare Robin Hood users to sell a ton of GSE stocks...

It didn’t work 100% though.

Next week will tell all..

That is exactly the game the big guys play to cheat out all the little guys.
They did not appreciate it when the little guys got together to play the same way.

With the leftist in power, they just adjust the law to make it illegal for anyone to push back against anyone deemed a big dog.
There is no longer a voice for the little guy, no platform to speak your mind, and no platform to speak with your wallet either.

It is a shame.

But it is legal, you just have to replace the stock when the price goes down as much as you had planned..

But...

If it goes up, you gotta buy it higher than you sold it for... too bad, so sad.

I worked at a scrap yard. I got to drive the owner and founder around, who was extremely smart when it came to business. He explained (attempted to explain) the commodities trading to me. He traded in the commodities to protect his profits. If he sold a contract at a certain price in January for a million pounds of copper for the following year, he would hedge his price, by buying contracts on the commodities market in case the price of copper tanked in July.

Some can trade in them, if they’re sharp, but there ain’t much protecting going on.

I know what selling short is. He explained it to me. You are speculating prices to go down, which is what these hedge funds did, but the prices kept going up, so when they have to buy out their contracts they lose their ass. Selling short at $100 and buying out at $350 is a problem, lol
