An 039 will never be a "pro" saw. But, Dad's old one sure put a hell of a lot of firewood on the ground for over a decade before it's untimely death... And, the one that Chad built and brought to Dan's GTG in Arkansas was an angry Mf'er.

I’ve got 5 neighbors that have brought me their farm boss saws. 029/290/310/039/390, I got a 30 min procedure for all those that will turn em into decent performers.
Same comment from all of em..
“What the hell did you do to this thing”!!
Answer:
“Just un-did what the EPA made stihl do”

Talk about easy mods.. no grinding needed..

Just now replaced the coil on the first Farmertec 361, the first ‘kit’ I built and has been a pita from the get go.

First it was a wonky carb and then the coil has weak spark.

It’s sister was built immediately after and was still going great last I herd.

Too early to test fire. [emoji6]

Appointment with the neurologist yesterday went well. We now starting a RX to slow down Barbara’s dementia. [emoji106]

This is like three years late thanks to the quack she used to see for her yearly checkup. Dr was aware of the memory loss but did nothing about it.

Dr. gave me a look at the image of the tumor in her head. It’s not the culprit for the dementia he claims.

Likely cancer but we are not going with radiation and chemo. Barb wouldn’t want it and neither do I or Sarah. Not on someone in poor health at 80 yo.

Mom is 80 and really going downhill fast , lupus is getting her,
Her dementia is really getting her as well .
I fear she doesn't have long
