Dirt track racing in the '70's, fellow was leaning over the radiator goosing the throttle when a blade broke off the fan. Took off all but an inch of the bill on his cap. By next race night, all cars were required to have a 16 ga. guard over the top half.

That can happen if you push them a little too far. Used to be a video of a 5.9 going to 7200 rpm or something crazy like that. It didn't blow apart.

Yup.. Guys run the 2 cylinder deere's on the edge of too far and if they run away, all you can do is stuff yer shirt in the air intake..
