Damn it. Stayed up until 1 am watching Star Wars with the little one. Thought I would sleep in, but the bladder doesn't think like me and wanted it's regularly scheduled draining; laid back in bed but couldn't go back to sleep. Coffee time. Have a good one everybody.

Sorry to hear that Thomas,
My dog started squeeking
At 7 and then goofed for 15 minutes
Outside. My alarm was set for 730
Now I have to hook the trailer up
To get ready to help a buddy
Move some stuff.... ugh
The whole weekend is scheduled
For me with not much free time

I had a late one as well. Started to split this old girl to replace the clutch at 11:00 last night

Wish I would've been thinking when we drained the old pool earlier. Should have been running video....You guys would have gotten a kick out of it.... Let's just say it involved about 3# s of tannerite and a high powered rifle lol!!!!!drain pool, check! That honeydew took approximately 3.2 seconds..... good times....

I forget who said it, but it's true. The best thing about Stihl is they sell good.
While they are fine saws, I won't debate that, there are better out there. I think it boils down to what class, or size, saw that's being compared.

Was talking to a member about this today I said my 55 is lighter and feels stronger than my ms290. He said if that 55 had Stihl written on it probably be a 300-400 dollar saw.

I would put the MS290 and the 455 Rancher in the same class saw. I've run both. Stock saws. I like the Rancher a little better. I don't know that it has any more power but it feels smoother in the cut. And runs smoother, too. It "feels" better too. Maybe that's what is meant by "balance". I've had 290's in the past. I currently have a 455. :)
