Not so much. Bobby Pierce got 2nd in the UMP Summer Nationals in 2013 at the age of 16, which is a 30 day series all around the Midwest. I know of a few Dirt Late Model drivers who have been on a circle track since they where 14, most where in kart racing at less than 10.
