Just out of curiosity I'd like to see the IPL for one (CS50). Or inform me how the heck the engine is held in the chassis/tank.

All in all it appeared to me as a design fail.

I have one that needs a cable for the throttle. You are correct IIRC while looking up parts number I noticed that the engine appears to just be sandwiched in there with a few bots through the side of the case maybe...bad design. ...gutless engine design as well. I ported the muffler and it still wouldn't out cut a wild thing.........

It was textron. ......
But some good saws were made under textron. ...

The IPL is on Chainsawr. One little screw thru an ear of the engine 'pan/crankcase cover' holds it in the plastic chassis.

Not a robust design............................................

My 041 has low compression as well. Sure wish I'd got to the $50 041 listed on cl couple weeks ago. Advertised goo compression.
