Probably just run a 28" bar maybe even a 24". Haven't tried a 28 yet. Probably be a lot easier when limbing. The 24 made a huge difference

If I need bigger than a 24 I reconcider
If I want to mess with it.
I have cut close to 50" with a 24" bar

the 50 inch chunk in my back yard was cut with a 24 haha just thinking a 28 might reach the ground a little better for limbing. Really loving this rollomatic 25" bar and chain tho

My 390 currently wears a 28 but have a 34, just in case. I'd like to have a 60 cc class work saw. Either a Dolmar 6100 or a 562XP. I think a 60cc saw is probably the best size "All around" saw. Capable of 80% of what's out there and if ported, could do everything in this part of the country.
However, I find myself reaching for a 50cc saw to do more and more work. :)

I'm kinda short a 24 isn't too far off the ground for me. A 36 is not much fun to run I have one if I need it

Welcome Eathan good bunch here.Workshop when you went ot Jasper you were really close to our place.I turned 70 today man that sounds a lot older than sixty somthing.
I need to make a day run just to go around and visit. If I had the land, I'd have a GTG, but I don't. I haven't heard of anybody, around me, offering up anyplace to have a charity cut either.
Ill reach another milestone myself in about 3 weeks. Ill turn 60.

I was working north of Joplin yesterday, and even made it up to Pittsburg, Ks, but didn't have time to holler at anybody...
Matt, how far are you from 44?

Welcome Ethan.

How far from my buddy, he lives in Lead Hill.
Grandpa turned 85 yesterday. Was down in your neck of the woods getting him ready for winter.

Had to stop and get him some breakfast

Steve, what you need is to put together a Hutzel/Farmertec MS361.

I've had many 61cc x 20" saws thru here and the Stihl copy (or genuine[emoji15]) saw has been the best performer to date.

Close second is my Olympyk 264. Starts on first pull if I'm quick on the choke.[emoji108]

Been thinking about that. I forget, did that come in a kit?

do you think the 3120 with a 28" would be useable? Lmao I like having big saws!

395 is much more usable. 3120 is two concrete blocks with a handle. 395 is only one block and can out cut a 3120 until you put on a 44 inch bar.
