Had a hackberry taken down in my yard a few weeks ago from the storm in July. I said I would haul off the limbs to save a little money. WTH was I thinking. Me and the boys worked for about 4 hours cutting it up, loading, mulching it down in the trailer, stomping it down, trimming limbs....rinse and repeat. Threw 2 chains doing the mulching. I am wore out.

Started at 8am yesterday at the wood spot. Pulling logs off the hillside down to where I could work on them. Finished getting all but one pulled down by 1:00. Cut up a few then gave up. Rob and I were just worn out. Had a late lunch then went down to Al's and split up what I took down last week. Home by 7. Think I'll take today off. That's what weekends are for, right?

Forgot how loud the Echo is. Hearing protection sure is nice.

Good morning all!
I picked up a couple projects this week:

I don't know anything about either one yet.
The Makita seems to be in real nice shape. Anybody have any specs on it?

Any idea what the Mac is?

Have a blessed Lords day!
Mac is a -10 series saw. Which one should be stamped into underneath side of crank case.
Makita is nice, made by Dolmar. Not sure in size.

The makita appears to be a 520i.
~50cc open port saw.
Good rigs. Ample power and very light.
Common issues are:
Weak coil
Chain brake components missing or not functional.
Nstueve may have any parts needed to make a good firewooder's out of it.

Oh, and they have a different choke system than you're used to.

Iffin' that Makita is the same as a Dolmar 520, it is a very good saw.[emoji106]
