You folks drive safe & have a great day.

Hopefully we can put a nice dent in the corn acres today & potentially get some shooting in as well.

I put a 22 in the 8400 on the cart f the other day when I was in it & have one in the truck. There are usually plenty of rabbits & raccoons running around while the combine is running.

Hoping you all have a good time having a little smoke and noise therapy! I'm gonna be in MO in two weeks to watch Grand daughter run Cross Country so this weekend down there was not in play.
Shoot straight and eat lots!

Goodly Afternoon fellas and gals.

Doing a pre soak on the last of the garlics to be getting planted this year. Put about 75 cloves in the ground yesterday and another 45 to go a bit later, after they have pre-soaked for a bit more, with about an hour yet to go. They seem to get a real root growth boost in the first week when doing the soak, and I am a week or two late this year for planting in our area.

It was great to be at Tony’s today.
First time I’ve seen tannerite in person.
Talk about cool and loud. Tony’s cooking is really tasty too.

About the only pictures I took except for a little bit of food. Got some new holes in the old car target now. I think Thomas may have taken some of the crew as we wandered around. Glad to put some more faces and name with the users now.

:mad: lower back has been bothering me for last 2 days no better this morning. Everyone keep your powder dry shoot straight and enjoy those fresh pies
Talked to several people today and we will see if we might start to make it an annual event. Might have to see how the wife feels on that. I usually take a vacation last of September/first October so that may be best time.

By the way, the trigger on that black powder pistol is the lightest pull I’ve ever shot.
It ain’t even a pound. Has anyone shot it from a bench at 50 yards just to see what it can print?

We made it home about 20 minutes ago.
Will comment on stuff in the am.
I shouldn't have held you up visiting last night so long. We are currently warmer now than when you left the house by a couple of degrees and no rain at the time. Thank you again for the well bucket. Tell Sam to set that reel up with some 20lb line when he finds a rod for it and do some catfishing. It has a bait clicker on it so you can set it to free spool and allow them to run when bank fishing.

Same with the single shot rifle I shot. I was expecting to feel some pressure....nope, touched the trigger and boom!

@Sawdust Man, that was a .45-70 correct?

Good morning!
Thank you Tony and your wife and family for your hospitality! All of the food was amazingly good! I have to ask what cut of meat was ground up to make those hamburgers? They were remarkably good.
It was really good to visit with everyone. There was an impressive assortment of projectile pushers there. Impressively accurate too!

You were warned....🙂
Levi and friends were impressed also...we made sure they each got to experience it before they left for the day.

No, we've never benched it but need to.

Tom and I both got to shoot 5 rds through the BFR, definitely powerful.

Yep 45-70 with a medium load, and yes, another pretty nice trigger.
