Lots of reports from wind damage early this morning night all I I heard was some clown in a diesel pickup diddling around trying to decide whether or not to go down the dirt road.

We haven’t had enough rain to settle the dust so the prognosticators missed our 3/4” - 1” overnight rain.

Hopefully it moved to SW MO but it looks like @67L36Driver & @WKEND LUMBERJAK got a good charge or are currently getting rained on.

Question about diesel fuel. Last time I was at the Stamp I needed to fill up my fuel can.
The convenience store had 2 types at the pump. #2 and off road red type. They were out of the #2 so I bought 5 gallons of the red. Is it ok to run the red type in my Bolens diesel?

Should be fine, that's all I run in my machines.

Yes, you will be fine.

Allegedly the only difference is the dye.

On-road is often called clear but can be yellow, blue, green.

Off-road/farm is red. The red dye is easy to detect in fuel testing by the enforcement folks.

Red /off-road is usually $.25-.$40 gallon cheaper

It’s not unusual to see scale jockeys (DOT’ officers ) sitting around spying on remote fuel depots watching for folks filling pickups with off-road/farm/red diesel.

A favorite tactic was to sit at local sale barns & dip the tanks on the pickups in line while they were waiting to unload.

It's just to tell the difference between off-road fuel and the same fuel that pays for a part of the roads
