Our "forcast" isn't really showing anything too crazy here, just rain & other normal winter stuff.
Along the I-70 corridor looks to be the heaviest snow, as of now. Amounts & areas of snowfall will likely change 3 - 4 times before Saturday night.

Paint made to look like wood is probably the only way. Which is something I'd never do.
i had a friend that had a major is art could take a brush and make it look like real wood. was pretty neat to see. painted a mural in my brothers room on the drywall and it looked like a oak framed painted hung on the wall til you got closer and seen it was a painted frame. just looked like the real thing from several feet away.

Had to open the front door & a kitchen window this morning. It was 86* in the stove room this morning, to warm to be enjoying a cup or two coffee.

Gotta love a stove full of osage for the overnight burns.

30° here now. Going to have to fill the barn with wood again after this season. I've been cleaning up around the field right now since the temps have been up and down lately. Gotta get into some of the good stuff for this week though.

Got a stash of that too..
I only use it sparingly. For only the coldest of overnight burns. That really is where it shines.

We dipped into the 3 year old white oak..
Filled the rack on the porch.
In anticipation of the arctic invasion..
We are not in great shape for seasoned wood this year. After Bubba got cut last winter, we didn't cut much firewood. We'll get by, and are working on filling everything up with split wood to season.

I have about 25 cord of it stacked up & just brought some to the house yesterday so I just loaded up with it last night.

A stack of Osage for the coming cold snap.

Some ponderosa to burn down the coals when needed.

Osage can you see by the dawns early light?

27° here they say and guessing 37 in 7 hours they hope. Music player on the radio stated " 5 day forecasts are about 90% correct, 10 day is about 50% anything further out is just a guess". I've seen forecasts 4 days out change radically in 2 days so don't trust much beyond tomorrow's call

Shame you don't know anybody with a saw or a splitter.
