That's an odd rain Guage, it'll tolerate freezing better than any I've ever had.
This makes the double wide make more sense than a frame built on a basement and it's been a foot or so higher, flash fluid years ago

Just looked at the gauge, and right at 0.5" in the last 15hrs. Most of that was in the last 2 hrs. Since the moistures returned our yard is greening back from the brown that it had become. Hopefully it will benefit the trees and bushes, as many had been showing signs of water-less stress.

Another balmy 46f this morning, with temps staying the same for a bunch of hours and then dropping to near freezing. Rains are guessed to be starting to happen sometime today as well.

My sister lives in a creek bottom, so I get to worry about them.....the BIL texted this morning, said they have a lot of surplus water but are all okay.
