Meh. Never met a saw I didn't like in some way or another. They all have their plus and minus.

Excepting the Remington Yardmaster types. They are pure junk.

And, I suspect, why Remington only makes electric saws today.

Derusting bath?

Muratic acid involved?

Amazing!!!! If it won't cut I might know why.

My guess is transmission fluid and turpentine...IIRC
Good old apple cider vinegar and water 50/50. A tool collector that I trade with gave me the info.

I also do it sometimes through electrolysis with washing soda/water mix and my bigger battery charger.

I forgot a chain and left it in the vinegar bath for a few weeks and wound up with a handful of links when I washed it off. :-0

Pulled a similar trick with a home made copper removal rig on a .264 Win Mag.
Used a thin brass rod, some shrink tube and a nicad battery charger. Deal was working real well removing the copper fouling so I left it running overnight.
Inspecting it the next morning I discovered it had completely removed the copper.
And, half the rifleing. [emoji33]

Rebarreled it to 7mm Rem Mag.

Son figured out the problem today. 1 wire in the harness was hooked up wrong. Not sending voltage to the TPS. Hence, injectors not working. Fixed that. Test start and it lit off like a wild banshee. Sounds nice. Open headers right now. Let come up temperature then shut it off to cool down. Some more wiring to do, but it's running now.
Tried uploading the video but it won't do it.
