Winds only caused a couple of tomatoes to drop b4 being vine ripened, was able to steak all plants, including the couple injured peppers, time will tell. What was pulled today. 4 types of tomatoes, 4 types of peppers and 2 kinds of cucumbers.

Very tasty.

The first truck didn’t work out that way.

To our dismay..

So we hauled it in one bucket at a time with the skid steer..

The second truck fit as planned.
Skid steer sure beats a wheelbarrow..... that's how we've always had to do it.

True...

But still not optimal..
I guess I just haven't encountered "optimal" very much in life....lol.

When I was 19 my dad, brothers, and I built a suspension bridge with 30' tall towers, (I think it was 30 cubic yards per tower) all the concrete was passed up in 5 gallon buckets...
A pumper truck would have been optimal I s'pose.

I'll have to see if I can get one of my brothers to me send some pics of the bridge sometime.
It's still standing strong 25+ years later...

And you’ll really like those English cucumbers..

No peeling needed. Taste great,
We've had english for a couple of years.
Already have the seed saver monster grown for seed saving.

Black Brandywine, Cherokee purple, red Brandywine and Sunset red horizon (I think that's what its called). The Sunset is a new one for us this year, and will be back for sure next year.
There are also Chocolate cherry, and Red brandywine/beefsteak hybrid's that aren't included in todays pickings.

It took a few years to figure out the BW's. A big part for us was getting more than one batch of tomatoes each year.
Initially I got 15 or 20 to a plant and now the numbers are 50+.
Main change was to use a bloom plus fertilizer (triple phosphate) just after a new set of tomatoes are marble to golf ball size, and then again 4 weeks later.
Other big problem was you have to pinch off flowers that are side by side or ya get some real funky doubled ones that have a lot of waste in the center.

Good early morning folks. 51 and going to around 84 today.

There was one other variety of tomato that I'd have back, Prudence Purple. Almost seems like a cross between a Cherokee and a Red Brandywine. Darker in color and super meaty. Had good plant yield last year with them. We used some for slicers, some for sauces, and even used in pico de gallo.
