Hope you all are well, hopefully I'll
Be cutting up and hauling off some huge cotton woods. They are dangerously
Hanging over our cousins house she bought (we moved her from Wisconsin during that nasty storm before Christmas)
I got a guy to safely take them down, she just has to get the money to pay him
It's gonna be a mess...... but ain't they all

Are younstill an Echo guy? What's your opinion of the 490? I have 2 and am contemplating keeping or selling them. I know my back isn't up to par any more but I hate to get rid of all my saws. Thinking of keeping the Echos.

If you get rid of them I won't be able to ask "if there is and echo in here" when you drive up by me.

I have 4 saws that are my “work” saws. They are the ones that I take to the woods with me. I have another hundred that are nothing more than play toys.
I’d keep the Echos.

Well, I'm no Sawdust Man, with the perfect pictures, but I took a couple on my way into town this evening. One of them is the town I live in, from about 5 miles away and I zoomed in. The grain elevators were silhouettes and I thought it looked nice. 20230110_173711_HDR.jpg 20230110_174154_HDR.jpg

I remember western Kansas.
The only way you’re going to see 5 miles around here is if your in an airplane.

There's a creek about a mile north and that's lined with trees, but there isn't a single tree in a straight line to town, from where I was sitting.

There's a spot in my buddy's pasture, that's a high point and on a clear night, on that hill, you can see town lights in every direction, north, south, east and west. The closest of those 4 towns, is 30 miles. It's pretty cool.

Will do Thomas
Diabetes?

Sent from the Hoskey Hills
Yes, diabetes. Diabetic sores that won't heal and got infected, even in the bone. He has been battling it since July, was in the hospital for 2-3 months. The high-powered antibiotics caused his kidneys to shut down, and he lost his hearing! He was on dialysis for 3 months, a bipap for about 2 months to help him breathe. He is off the bipap and dialysis now.

He went to rehab about 8 weeks ago, where he reopened the sores in the first week and they sent him home. They became infected again, and here we are.

Update on my Dad.

He did well with the surgery. He was in good spirits all day after the surgery, probably due to the happy juice. We never saw or talked to the surgeon or doctor, so we don't have a report on exactly what they did and his prognosis. He did still have his feet, so that is a good thing.
