Oh.........and of course I smacked a piece of metal with a brand new, never ran, 42" skip tooth chain. I've hit more steel in these loads of wood I brought back a month or so ago, than I've hit in years of doing town trees. At least only 1 tooth broke this time.

Then off to lucky J arena to drink doubles on the rocks and watch Kent’s horse do its work..

They have a cutting horse competition going on..

We left at 10:00, and there were a couple classes yet to go.

Got about 3.5 cords of 100% hackberry worked up yesterday..

Hackberry ain't bad wood! Undercover will last along time. 25 yes ago they shipped alot of it to Saudi Arabia. Green Hackberry would cure in 2 weeks over there. They were building outside structures with it. Don't rain over there so I imagine it lasts.

Good morning!
Got most of the big oak tree limbs split except for some cookie logs.
Trying to decide what I want to do with the trunk. It's 18' long and diameter runs from 34" at the base to 31" at the other end.

It’s stringy by nature. So should be strong, but get just a little of that off colored *s-word in a board, and it’ll warp like hell, and fast!
