This has survived several years on the stove. They don't create a breeze, just circulate the air a bit. Do notice a difference if it gets moved. If they get too hot you can ruin it. Mine is happy on a baffled airtight stove, wouldn't try it on the pot belly in the shop.

Anyone know about those fans that sit on a wood stove and run with no electricity??

Anyone ever use one? If so, what brand?
I recently bought one off of Marketplace and put it on my stove in the shop and it seemed to make a noticeable difference. It seems to do a pretty good job pushing the air sideways instead of letting it go straight up. It's odd because you really don't feel much of a breeze from it.

My dad used one (eco fan brand) for at least 10 years and it never broke, and mom would run the stove way too hot!
They work fine......just don't move very much air.

I bought a cheap one, 70 bucks, years ago and it was more of a novelty than anything.

I didn't notice any difference with it and used it more to let me know when my fire was getting low, since it would slow down. It only lasted 3 or 4 years and I never replaced it.

I looked at those fancy ones, but I'm not dropping 500 bucks on one.

Cheap ones, I'd pass.

It’s always a good time when you get a saw put back together & you don’t lose your temper :b1:

Then you have 2 extra bolts…

No clue where they go :nusenuse:

I would drop them down the sparkplug hole so you can always find them, or behind the air filter.
