When I was a kid there was a house up the street from us that had an Osage Orange in their front yard. It wasn’t just in there front yard, it was the only tree in their front yard and it was centered up with the house so it had to have been planted there on purpose. When that thing would start dropping them the local kids, me included, would gather them up late in the evening and string them across the street and we would then hide and watch cars come to a screeching halt trying to avoid them.
