Must be down by Eufaula ? I hauled a few loads down to McAlester. Nice area, I was surprised to see all those pines & that lake had big red clouds in it from run off a couple times I went thru there.

Yes, down my Eufaula and McAlester. It is my understanding they got it cleared before night fall after a 9 hour stand still.

Oklahoma red clay is what creates those big red clouds in that lake. There is a lake over by Norman, Lake Thunderbird, we call it lake Dirty Bird. It is built in red clay. Don't go swimming with a white T-shirt on, LOL.

I know right. Zippo website says they are flameless. How do they work if they are flameless?

Vapors from fuel burns in the catalyst much like coals in a sense. If it is dark you can watch the glow travel though it. Once going it stays warm and causes the fuel to vaporize.

They guessed us at a trace - less than 1”, we have at least 3” now & still snowing. Tomorrow is supposed to be 25* then into upper 40’s - mid 50’s thru next week daytime. Going to be sloppy for awhile.

This got me thinking. I've been here about 8 years, give or take, and of that, if one was to count actual face to face time, we've known each other in hours or a few days. And yet you all here are truer friends than others I've known for 30 years.
