I quit watching the major news channels years ago..

I’m not nearly as pissed off as I used to be...
We quit watching the news after the 2016 election. A few months ago we quit watching live tv altogether. We watch Netflix and DVD's.
No commercials. Don't even listen to the radio in my truck. Not just because it doesn't work but because listening to my truck is music to my ears.

I’m the same way. 49 miles each way to and from work and never a radio turned on. Love the sound of my vehicle!

It's not nightly news anymore, it's just some jackwagon's opinions on what they think we should find out. Just that their opinions are not the same as mine, and I get along fine without them in my house.

I've been 6 years cable free!
I catch a glimpse at work from time to time and it's a WTF moment each time.

I don't listen to music in my truck, the radio is broken lol. Any other car I'm serenaded with the noise of six kids.

Evening all! I go to run about 8 miles East of Sedan KS today to a buddies ranch, to diagnose a crank/no-start on a ford 901 diesel tractor... After taking EVERY line off except for the small hose from the fuel filter/water separator to the injection pump, and bleeding all of the lines at the pump and the block, we got her to run in 5-10 second intervals, with about 1-2 minutes in-between starts... When she starts, she runs perfect, then just dies. Found a lot of crap when we changed out the filter, and when I busted the line loose, and let the tank gravity flow out, it did, bit not as much as it should have. Looks like we're going to have to drain and clean (Acetone maybe?) the tank, and then we should be in business.

Then the starter button on an early 70's IH something-or-other 6cyl Turbo diesel tractor failed in the CLOSED position whle preparing to drag start the 901. If the battery cables are both on, the starter is cranking!!! I'll have to go back and replace that later and do some metering... He's not mechanically inclined at all. But he's a good friend, and the one who made me the smoking deals on my dump trailer and little Kubota, so an occasional road trip to do some wrenching doesn't hurt my heart at all. Plus, it's going through the Flint Hills!

As far as a GTG @Boomhower, I'd venture to say that beyond a charity cut, that may not happen until spring time. Too many family obligations for many, plus the (Hopefully) temporary insanity of covid that affects all of our lives differently. January would likely be the earliest I'm guessing?

BTW, has anyone heard from Don (Sunfish) lately?

I was thinking 6-8 months down the road? Something to look forward to. Maybe things will settle down by then. I’ll keep an eye on this thread see if yall come up with something.

Yep. Too many people let the media manipulate them. Cause anxiety, lead to riots and other bull$hit. I haven't had tv in over 10 years and dont miss it a bit. I go to a bar and grill to watch sports.

Good morning!

Regarding a charity cut:
Abe is planning on the annual charity cut for missionaries at Mansfield, MO. It will probably be in January. I will post on here when he gets the date set.
The missionary that most of the money goes to was here in the US this summer dealing with a medical emergency with one of their boys when all of there belongings were stolen from their apartment in Cape Verde. They will need all the financial help they can get right now.
