I worked on a newer red poulan
Wouldn’t run for chit
I eliminated the second butterfly and made a plug for it
Retuned carb and it ran and cut good for what it is

They are not much, the husqvarna 440e ain't bad , better air filter, somewhat better built

A new one is 300 bucks , I'll try to sell this one for 100 or less , saw had little use , just was dirty

Longest log I have ever milled. 21 ft. Guy wanted 6 x 6's . But now he does not know how to get them home. Lol.

Happy Saturday. Mother Nature gave me Friday off so I put it to use in the garage. Got some more shelves up and built a rack for some of the saws. I’ve got that little area just about done. Shelves on both sides, a few new outlets with their own breakers, saw rack and tool box. I’m all set :-) Well almost. Need a small very quiet air compressor.

Sounds like the couple trying to load 14 or 16 foot boards into the crew crab w/6' bed in LOWE'S lot last night. Entertaining for a while!

Looks nice! I had a ‘52 Wayne air compressor not many cfm about 8-10 but turned slower and was really quiet. The older ones are way better imho.

And no stihls...

I approve!!

Lol. I have a few. They come and go. For some reason it’s been hardcore Husky the last few years. There are a few saws on the top shelf now that weren’t in the pic. The 125 Mac and a Chinese 660. There’s an MS460 waiting on a P&C. We won’t talk about the pile of saws at the shop lol

Thanks. I do know of an older compressor from a dentist. Thought about giving that a whirl. I’ve got big ones but don’t have room or want to listen to it. I could run electric out to the shed and stick a big one there......hmm

@Hedgerow, looked at Madsens for reels or loops of husky chain. They may have a few 32" loops but I'm wanting 3/8 .063 x 214 dl's in square chisel skip. The extra space in tween cutters leaves room so chips don't bind in the cut. 1 extra dl for 8 tooth drive. Yeah I know PICKY picky! But milling or felling a 5 to 6 foot stump needs as much efficiency as possible.
Any suggestions on husky reels or made to order loops?

Very nice!!! What is holding the little 2x4s the saws are hanging on? screws? Glue? Dove tail? All of the above?

Thanks!

3-1/8” #10 GRK screws from the back side. I did extensive load testing before I risked the saws lol. The others are screwed into the studs, one 3-1/8 and one 4” per stud. On the top row there’s also a 4” down at an angle from the top through the hanger, back board and into the stud.
