I've been thinking the KC area needs a GTG of sorts.

Not the traditional type with five acres of test logs but a swap meet sort of deal.

I know many of you, like me, have project saws in various stages of disrepair. Box, bucket and basket cases.

Mike! How goes that Strunk! LOL

There is a nice public school accross 29th street w /parking lot and wide expanse of lawn.

I'm having GTG withdrawal symptoms.

Fort Scott is three months away and I can't stand it.[emoji22]

Do we need a "build Cobey a saw shack" GTG?

Wouldn't be hard at all.
I've got all kinds of tools to build a shed with I can bring. If Coby needs power and lights, I can do that, too.
I'm not a licensed electrician, but I did restring my venition blinds once.

Pulls the chain good. I need to hit the Vanguard rakers with my 4" angle grinder some more.

There is no filing them damn things. You would wear out a file for every loop.

I got a couple hundred feet of 12-2 Romex to donate to the cause. Bit of larger stuff too. Leftovers from wiring new shop.

I watched these two linemen eat a whole grocery bag full of Chinese food as they watched the skiny kids play in the 7 man passing league last night.

It was impressive. Lol.

All I qualified to build are saw storage racks.
One 3/8" X 4' X 8', three 2x4 X 8, four 1 X 1 X 8', double handful of Sheetrock screws and some scrap 1x 3 (bed slats) builds a 2' X 8' double shelf to stash 36 + saws. Total cost last time was $28.

I don't if any of y'all are thrifty (cheap) like me, but I scrounged some decent tin roofing from a barn blowdown a while back. It has old nail holes of course, but would be good for a shop or barn. A little dab of roofing patch in spots and it would be good enough for the girls I date. I think I have enough to share.

I couldn't bring it myself, but I'll bet Workshop could take it up there if I asked nice... ;) Do we have an emoji for throwing someone under the bus?

Since Steve will be hauling tin anyway, I think I can send some blue plastic single outlet boxes and some outlets left over from my house. I probably have some light switches and old style light bulb bases, too. Remember when you screwed a plain old glass light bulb into the white ceramic base? Those kind, just newer with ground hookup and made from some fancy plastic.

Edit: Where's that "throw your buddy under the bus" emoji?
