FWIW: A Jonsered 520 fuel cap fits an Olympyk 254.

I've found, in the past, that if you pound on something enough, it will fit.

Oly is a willing runner! The replacement fuel cap weeps but isn't cross threaded like the OEM. Oiler works also.

Hatched a plan to get him fixed up and offer him back to the fellow for cost of parts. He strikes me as someone who could use a break.[emoji6]

Evening fellas. The heat and humidity have arrived. Isaac and I sold and delivered a rick of pecan, helped stack it too. The man tipped Isaac $10 for helping stack. Man was in his 70s and liked to talk. His son kept shaking his head and telling him to let us leave. When Dad was looking the other way I signaled to son "It's OK". He ended up taking Isaac and I into his garage and showed us his '41 Buick with a straight 8. He let me sit in it and start it up. I love that stuff. Even Isaac liked the car. The wife brought us out some paper towels to wipe off the sweat; and a box of ice cold sodas, water, or tea. Then he showed us his "new to him" smoker. Anyhow, I am glad I took the time to visit; normally I deliver, collect, shake hands, and leave. Have a good one.

The sitting down and visiting is the best part. Where I'm cutting at, his neighbor invited me over to check out something in his garage. His mothers 1972 Ford Ltd. Mint condition with 30,000 miles on it. Last licened in 2010. It was gorgeous. Sometimes you've got to sit down and smell the roses.

Yes it is. My first car was a '75 Ltd Landau with a 460 (i believe). It was brown on brown with brown hubcaps and would seat 8 teens no problem. You could put a couple more in the trunk if you wanted. It was a beast.
