We've got a customer that owns an indoor range around Omaha, NE that will rent you a suppressed .50 BMG M107A1 Barrett to shoot. He also rents a huge range of handguns.

That must be one hell of a range to be able to shoot a .50 in there, and I mean backstop-wise. Even suppressed, I bet that first round has a hell of a pop indoors! Lol
Oh, I got a 450 yard range behind the house.
I go to Andy Dalton because it has excellent shooting benches, walled off booths, and a no nonsense range master. No idea what they've spent over the years on the facility, but it's a bunch.
They even have overhead baffles. With bullet holes in them.. Lol..
I used to do Instagram a few years ago, and some of the videos on there, damn near gave me anxiety, but in some of those, you could see random bullet holes in places they shouldn't be as well. Lol
I'm sure there's good public / indoor ranges out there and if that's what a person has, I completely get it! (I'm hoping I don't come off pretentious, because that is definitely not my intent)
Shooting is one of those things I just prefer to do by myself, or with only a person or two. Things can get out of hand pretty quick with some groups.
Reminds me of when I was a kid, and pheasant hunting was even bigger than it is now out here, and my family would always go with this huge group of out of staters, opening weekend. By 10 o'clock in the morning, the Crown Royal would come out, and by noon, half of them would be so drunk, we'd have twice as many blockers as we did walkers. Can't tell ya how many times we'd get peppered, whether blocking or walking. Needless to say, we quit going with them after a few years, because it got worse every year.
I'm no safety Sally, but guns is one area I don't screw around, and I'm careful about who I shoot with.
