I think @odin is out your way. Always fun meeting fellow like minded forum members.

Nice! Well, that's one of the main reasons I joined here, because very few around here are into chainsaws and burning wood. It's too much work for most folks. They'd rather go to a job and pay the energy company, and that's fine. More trees for me! :-)

Couple years ago after a week vacation in SoCal I was ever so happy to see the wide open roads of Western Kansas lol.

I bet SoCal is gorgeous in real life, but I'll never know! Lol! I lived in Denver for a few years and could not get past only being able to do 25-30 mph on interstates at certain times of the day, and that was on good days. Going anywhere was WAY too much effort, with way too much traffic and a royal pain! Not to mention how expensive it is to live there. I can imagine SoCal being worse in both regards by quite a bit.

So yeah, western Kansas ain't so bad IMO!

Good morning! I thought I'd stop by and say hi. Back in the states now (Maryland), so I've got a garage and my chainsaws again! Picked up an 088 Saturday along with three 026's, a 361, a 360, and a couple 460 carcasses. I'm back in school again, but I'll check in every once in awhile. My photobucket is full apparently, so I hope the picture shows up fine.

I figured it was all in fun. I'm west of Hays, if you know where that is. That's about the last bigger town before things start getting pretty desolate.

I cut wheat around the area back in 80’s when I was on wheat harvest [emoji6]

It was nice but WAY to many people.

When are you having your next GTG?
Probably soon so you can help him with that post driver.

Morning midlanders!

Reminder: I don’t “do” weed wackers, lawnmowers, blowers or rototillers and, least of all, post drivers. I only “do” chainsaws. [emoji6]

Keep that POS in Carthage.

I don't mind working on blowers or trimmers for that matter.

Hedge. Looks like a earthquake engine used on post hole diggers and tillers. Copy of the 43cc redmax trimmers. Bet the carburetor fixes it right up. I just did 2 tiller's. Both got aftermarket carburetors. Darn barrel carb.

New carb on..
New fuel lines in.
New plug

Still won’t rev up properly..

I have gone as far down the repair road as I’m willing to go with it.

Carb is a bastardized combo between a chainsaw and dirt bike. And non adjustable..

Did owner tell history and symptoms prior to giving it to you? Any verbal hints?
No..
"Loaned it out, came back, now won't run"

I can not rule out too much back pressure from muffler.
Nor can I confirm.

Guess I'll have to disassemble the POS again. Cuz that's what's gotta happen to get the muffler back off there..

The one time I had a plugged muffler screen it was an 011/012 that was run on outboard motor oil. [emoji2959]

Do a quicky flap muffler mod where it won’t burn plastic.
