Dinner vs Supper. I was taught by my Grandmother and her brother that Dinner was the noon time meal. Supper is the evening meal. (They were farmers) Is it just my hillbilly roots showing? A local thing?

Speaking of supper, we just took Dad out for his 68th birthday. Everyone made but my son, his wife & son. Got to watch one of my brothers put down 4 beers, a 32oz prime rib, 2 large sides & a dinner roll, earned him a free t-shirt, Dad was impressed. All I could think of was ‘The Great Outdoors’. It must not of been to hard on him I saw him @ Casey’s get a 12 pack for the drive home

My niece weighed her sheep in @ the County Fair today one was 158# the other was 173#, sounds like there will be plenty of meat for the kids this year. I really don’t give a chit to go watch her show them but I guess I better go cough up $10 to get to in & sweat like a hoe in church while sitting there watching. Allegedly the showing starts @ 10:00am but in the last 3 years it’s always been 2 hrs behind.
