There is a center pivot RR bridge just upstream from the Pony Express Bridge. During high water anchor the ends to either bank. Logs pile up against it. That single pier takes the drag from the current. [emoji15]

That was the one i was thinking of.
The UP RR has a bridge in Topeka with a deck that can raise up. 10 some odd years ago the tweakers got in there and stole all the copper out of there. The Corp of Engineers told them if the water got to high they have to blow it up.

That center posts takes a beating under normal conditions, can’t imagine the kind of stress it’s under now. Most folks don’t even know that it’s a working pivot bridge. How’s that floating casino sitting?

Morning all! Been a while since I've been on here, but I'm back now. Just been really busy with other things. Closing my shop down, and going back to work for a bigger shop where I used to work. Trying to get all the stuff here finished out and back to its owner. Big chore.
So, what have I missed?

Been chasing the missing parts.

Boys at Jack Horners accidentally locked the parts cabinet the fasteners and drum bearings are in. [emoji2960]. No key. [emoji1787][emoji1787]

I need the big clutch washer and drum bearing out of there. [emoji90]
