Not sure how you cook your pancakes. If you don't already, try a little crisco in the pan, kinda like you do the lard and the steaks. You can thank me later. My wife's nanny cooked them like this....best i ever had. If done right, the pancakes will be slightly crispy.

I have looked at those before, but didn't know if it would be worth it.
I have the Husqvarna version of one of those, as well as a Husqvarna roller style guide. I like the roller style the best of any I have tried.
I need to get one of my boys trained to do it. Then I would be set!

I love it. I just over tighten the chain and then go to town on it. But I'm just a hack so being able to get the tooth and rakers at once makes me happy.
