peaceful morning in the woods

Yep flame roasted! It was raining and the wood was real wet to begin with, therefore my torch wouldn't burn it at all. After about 3 times of the fireball treatment it was almost free and clear of the stringy leftovers from carving it. Plus dry enough to take some paint!

Heck I have struggled on the last 2 or 3
Of everything I have worked on.
Been a kinda turd year, but thankfull
For what the Lord provides.
If I be upside-down on parts or
Trades with anyone on here let me know
Because I want to keep square with

Looks better in person. It is mint. MoJim says the P/C are mint, like new, almost no run time on that saw.

Iowa was a good time, missed you guys but met some new people. Had some good conversation with fishnuts2, Philbert, Heimann, and Olyman; and shook hands with many more. Olyman is a hoot. It rained all day Saturday, which was a bummer, but probably wouldn't have talked to as many people as I did. Some things are more important than playing with saws.

Yes it is a turkey on fire, but not what you think. Chad burnt the (wooden) turkey after he carved it, which gives it the black color. He then sands it in areas to bring the wood grain back out and give it texture. He paints other areas as desired. It was his first turkey and it turned out amazing IMO. Chad is a fantastic carver in my book.
