Since you showed up.
That's a given these days. I bring grouchness, crying babies and dirty diapers to the party.
Oh my.
I bring dirty diapers to the party.
When you buy a 10-15 pound diaper, it can go a long time without being changed...Wouldn't change it for anything though.
Up until now it was.

This is a rough crowd. Good. I have thick skin, and sharp elbows. Watch me use em to make my way thru the crowd.
Fast firewood is the key.Evening all! A bit soggy here in KS... Dad and I and a few friends cut the first load in the new to me 14', 14K dump trailer. Just bucked everything from 54-60" and loaded them sideways. Made a nice little pile in the yard and having access to a small JD grapple tractor to load them was the cat's meow!! Dumping themout was slicker than snot!!! That's the first time, in a long while, that I've put that much wood on the ground and NOT had a sore back.
A friend, who's fairly new to sawing, (and who's land we were cutting on), got to experience the 262xp that Randy built, along with the 550xp and the MS201T. Now, after playing with a few plastic pull-ons, He understands why we've made the investment in equipment that we have. I never even fired up the 562 and left the two bigger saws in the barn. I do think, that after I get my pay-raise and a few smaller bills taken care of, that a new Echo 2511 may find it's way in my barn, after a few mods. The older I get, and the more I experience "mileage" in my spine, the more I appreciate @sunfish 's cutting philosophy. I'll still go after the big ones. but I can do more small ones faster, with less wear and tear, AND less splitting.
I've got an camper I'm tearing apart has a 2x6 tube frame and 2 5200 or 6k axles on it. Itll be a deck over trailer. Itd be a cheap trailer for toys.Started looking around for a 16 ft trailer to haul my toys on . Geez, used trailers ain't cheap. What's bad is used aren't that much cheaper than new. I think I'll re engineer my 10 footer into a 16 footer .
Should be able to keep it under a grand pretty easy. I can get pretty creative where I get stuff from .![]()
There is a used big tex local to me that a friend was looking at for around 8k I believe and a good looking trailer. My next trailer will be a GN somewhere between 20-24' +5' and be a tandem dual axle, with full bed-width fold over ramps and elec over hyd disc brakes. Ought to handle any weight I'll ever throw at it and support it much better in slightly softer areas. There's a PJ I'm looking at very hard.
For all-around use though a conventional 16-18' bumper pull that's at least 7K is hard to beat though. I am a fan of L.E.D. lights though.
I just priced the steel and axles and wheels to build a 25+5 gooseneck with 15k hyd disc brakes and 17.5 tires I was gonna have between 12-15 in just that alone not including the little details. That's why I've been looking at a big truck and pintle trailer bc I can get into that pair for almost the same a a custom trailer to pull with my pickup. That's why it's almost cheaper sometimes to buy than build. My next trailer will be a GN somewhere between 20-24' +5' and be a tandem dual axle, with full bed-width fold over ramps and elec over hyd disc brakes.
