Here are a couple photos. The hand guard bracket bolts onto the handle mounting braket as seen in photo 2. Sorry for not being super clear, ran out of time to dissasemble and photograph better.

In case of interest, there's a 360 with a chain brake currently listed on E bay UK - apparently the brake band is broken. There is also a nice one on German E bay but its priced a wee bit higher.

1050 help please. What is the name of the line that goes from the beside the air screw down through the case to cylinder. I have tried couple types of line and can't get it from folding. On closer look it looks like the original line is factory curved. Is there anything I can use? Thanks!

53656 fuel idle line.
I'd slide a spring inside of the hose to keep it from kinking.

Thanks! Great idea! I'm stopping at lowes on the way home from work and seeing if they have a 3/8 od 90 degree plastic barbed fitting. I have 3/8 id line.

Update on the Super EZ auto I got from my nephew.
Just needed a good cleaning out. Lots of crud in there. Blew out the nasty air filter and had to retune the carb.:)
He Also had the bar spacers reversed, and only one has an oil passage, so oiler problem solved.;)
Tested on some cedar out in the pile. Its a hungry little thing! Lots of grunt for its size.
Giving it to Dad for his birthday this weekend. He has an EZ auto that doesnt oil right and has an air leak. Rather, im trading him so I can fix his. May or may not give it back.:D
He loves that saw, im guessing because of the power to weight thing.1022191554_HDR.jpg 1022191554.jpg

Got a C5 i rebuilt couple years ago. Runs okay but the jug has issues with plating; has lost some. Anyone got a good cylinder with good plating? Got parts and $

Hi guys! I picked up an MP88 back in Sept.for $50.The thing is immaculate. The AF has no concrete dust on it whatsoever.I went through the saw when I first got it & I'll bet it hadn't been run in at least 15 yrs.& the old fuel was still in it.The fuel line was disintegrated in the tank from ethanol fuel. The fuel line is easy to replace. The saw did fire on a prime. My question is how do I replace the impulse line?Do I have to remove the air box to do so?

Great shape. Looks like a worthwhile project to me. May even be able to straighten the bar. Go back a page and check out Sawnami's if you missed it. Beautiful resto.

Guy on another forum wonders if his XL12 can pull a 24”. I’m not familiar with Homies so I figured I’d ask here.

The factory said max 24” in a brochure I have, the super xl pulls a 24 much better, 59cc versus 54cc and pyramid reed set up help out. Late model xl-12 had the pyramid reed set up and they made more power.

Yeah, 54 to 59cc is about a 7-8% increase, like upping your 350 truck engine to a 375, quite a noticeable increase.
