You're probably right, first reading was .038. I think I'll run it this way first, just to see what I can get out of her. Then maybe go with a gasket delete. How much did you take off the transfers, .020?

I was trying to find a pic.no luck yet.basically if ya pull the cylinder off.lay a cylinder gasket on the cylinder and then on the cases.you will see how the lower transfer opening is smaller on the cylinder then the cases.i laid the gasket on the cylinder and market it.then grind them to that.ill try to find a pic.

I see. Pretty easy fix. Thanks alot Brad. I think I might do that at some point. Got to see if it runs first, and how well. There had to be some reason that it was taken down...

If you do open the lowers be mindful of the transfer cap screw that’s toward the intake side. The pic above is of my cylinder, I took a lot more out of the intake side of those transfers after that pic.

Ok. Now the 372 xtorq handle doesnt work on this saw. The spacing between lower bolts is 2 1/2" approximately, too big for the x torq. What front handle do I have? This saw is getting to be a PIA. @brad ruch @Spike60

The 2172 and 372 x-Torq handles are different and not interchangeable (it's the mounting on PTO side of the tank that's different, as you have pictured). You can use a 2172 handle on a 2171, the main difference being the diameter of the tubing and the overall height of the handle.

Disregard the post above, I just remembered that the part of the handle that mounts to the tank is longer on the Jonsered.

I think when you put the Husky handle on the Jred the handle is to short to hit the bottom screw hole.

Much too short. If it were the same size well heel yeah I'd drill a hole. But I remember someone saying that I needed a 2172 handle because it would allow clearance for the 372 xtorq cylinder. Thats why @brad ruch statement that I could use a 2171 handle has got me confused. They have different numbers according to the ipls.
