Hello all.
Can't see any cylinder numbers/letters yet as I need to blow all the sawdust out from around the base of the cylinder flange but, I can see "made in Italy" on the flywheel side of the cylinder bolting flange, and the 4 square corners of the bolting flange have radii corners machined on half the thickness of the bolting flange. (a common style/type of machining on other models of Gilardoni chainsaw cylinders)
Would it be a Gilardoni cylinder, it has a "B" stamped near the spark plug and 2 small digits of either a t & ? or + & ? on the clutch side just above the square base flange of the cylinder.
Chainsaw date and model is a 1997 42 special s/n 7350580.
Thanks all
Phil

Can you post pictures of your cylinder?

I have a Gilardoni and on the Swedish forum you can find the cylinder numbers and their markings. If I remember correctly, it should have the manufacturer's name on it

We did identify that he does indeed have a Tecomec cylinder in PM's.

There is a 42/242 thread that probably has all the info you could want and then some.
