A good well done 375 is a good runner. It’s got noticeably more torque than a 372 XT/50mm OE. The problem is the proprietary piston/ring size is kind of a pain in the azz (only two options... oem or weisco which are both expensive). The 52mm aftermarket can run really good when done right but.... the longevity is the problem there obviously. The 50mm OE is still my favorite all around cylinder for many reasons.
I have the newer highway 52mm Ti popup kit coming. Sposed to be better plating than the nikasil. Then I get this email saying they shipped the wrong kit... So it will be easy to compare. The 1st one is here. Hope to see the right one in a day or so.

Well the oiling will never be an issue with a 70cc saw as ill never ask it to run a 36" bar. We got other saws for that.
Running a 36" bar on a 372 might just be a west coast thing? Even if you don't have big wood to cut, the safety of the longer bars reach when freeing up blowdowns and tensioned wood is invaluable.

@andyshine77 , was / is the 372 a good saw, I had a new one but sold it
after a months work as I only bought it for the job in hand, so no durability issues for me.

But others I know said the bearings went at very low hours,
and some said cases got trashed where bearings got loose
in the housings.
My favorite of the old huskies is the 2 series, 268,272 and the comparable jonsred. I like working on them and running them better than the 3 series. Give me 272 over 372 any day in my book

I can agree with banning the lead … but IMO competition would have resulted in the other engine improvements. If a competitor makes a car with 500 Hp that gets 25 MGP Hwy, you can not compete with one that gets only 12 MPG.[/
Unfortunately the epa had to force the first car to get 25 mpg with 500hp. I’m not saying they don’t overstep their boundaries but the epa has done some good things.
