I think it's all the fault of those "MUST TAKE ALL" demands in the Craigslist ads!
My personal favorite is the two semi-trailer loads of old rotted tires on an overgrown lot or in an old mud floor warehouse and they're saying "FREE BUT YOU MUST TAKE THEM ALL".
Nothing like a property flipper or rental agent looking for a sucker to clean up a huge trash pile, often in exchange for a couple of TVs or avocado green (old) kitchen appliances.

I know right , I've been looking at a huge trunk laying in a yard for the last 6 months and stopped to talk to the property owner, I told him that I burn fire wood and would remove the huge trunk on the hill facing the road.
At first he was ok then started in with "dont be like the thieves who took what the could and left the rest!"
Yup GFY ,never went back . Its nice when people throw up red flags before I start loading up tools.
